Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- On Sept. 17, 2026, we approved the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) request to issue mass replacements to impacted households. This waiver approval allows households to receive replacement of SNAP benefits, as stated in the approval, due to power outages as a result of severe storms that began on Aug. 11, 2026. The waiver approval applies to Lake and Porter counties along with ZIP codes in the following counties: Carroll (46932, 47926), Dearborn (47032, 47060), Decatur (46156, 47240), Delaware (47320, 47334), Fayette (47024, 47352), Franklin (47003, 47024, 47240), Hancock (46117), Henry (46117, 47334, 47352, 47360), LaPorte (46340, 46345, 46346, 46348, 46350, 46360, 46365, 46371, 46382, 46390, 46391, 46532, 46552, 46574), Madison (46016), Marion (46107), Pulaski (46366), Randolph (47320, 47360), Rush (46156, 46182, 47240, 47352), Tipton (46979), Union (47003), and Wayne (47339, 47345, 47360).

The initial waiver, approved on Aug. 19, 2026, includes Lake and Porter counties. This modification approval includes Allen, Bartholomew, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Dearborn, Decatur, Delaware, Fayette, Fountain, Franklin, Fulton, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Harrison, Hendricks, Henry, Jasper, Jay, Jefferson, Jennings, Knox, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Miami, Morgan, Newton, Orange, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Randolph, Ripley, Rush, Shelby, St. Joseph, Starke, Tipton, Union, Wabash, Warren, Washington, Wayne, and White counties. The waiver remains in effect through Aug. 31, 2026.

- On July 11, 2023, FNA approved the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Family Resources (DFR) request to issue mass replacements to impacted households. This waiver approval allows households to receive replacement of benefits as stated in the approval due to power outages as a result of storms that occurred June 29-30, 2023. The waiver request applies Vigo County.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- On April 6, 2023, FNA approved the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Family Resources (DFR) request to waive the 10-day reporting requirement for replacement of food purchased with SNAP benefits that was lost as a result of power outages due to tornadoes and storms that began on April 1, 2023. The waiver request applies to the seven counties of Benton, Johnson, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Sullivan and White. The waiver is in effect through April 20, 2023.
- On April 6, 2023, FNA approved the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Family Resources (DFR) request to issue mass replacements to impacted households. This waiver approval allows households to receive replacement of benefits as stated in the approval due to power outages and structural damage as a result of tornadoes and storms that occurred on April 1, 2023. The waiver request applies Sullivan County.
